Capstone Resource Group visits China!


In December 2011, Senior Partner, Mark Robertson, along with a group of MBA students from the Georgia Institute of Technology, traveled to mainland China, to visit the key Chinese economic cities of Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu, and Hong Kong. The purpose of the trip was to experience, first hand, the Chinese culture and meet with several prominent Chinese business leaders to exchange American and Chinese business knowlege.

During the trip, the team from Georgia Tech met with and were provided tours of the following business operations as well as plant facilities:

Baidu Group (Beijing, China)

Baidu is the Chinese equivalent to the popular Internet search engine company, Google. Baidu’s core web search products include: Baidu PostBar, the world’s first and largest Chinese-language query-based searchable online community platform, Baidu Knows, the world’s largest Chinese-language interactive knowledge-sharing platform, and Baidu Encyclopedia, the world’s largest user-generated Chinese-language encyclopedia, as well as Maps.

Sanofi Pharmaceuticals (Beijing, China)

Sanofi is a diversified global healthcare company specializing in research, development, manufacture and marketing of healthcare products. Products include pharmaceuticals, comprising prescription drugs, consumer healthcare and generics; vaccines and animal health.

Microsoft – China (Beijing, China)

Microsoft Corporation is one of the worlds largest software companies best known for its Windows operating system and Office productivity tools.
